When buying Life Insurance isn’t your Top Priority
Have you noticed that purchasing life insurance hasn’t been a top priority in your life? You buy automobile insurance because you have to. You wouldn’t be able to drive your vehicle without it. You may never have to file an auto claim; however you need to purchase it because of the risk that you will get into an accident.
You buy health insurance because you at some point you may get sick. You also need health insurance for your annual checkups, testing, etc. When it comes to life insurance, we all know what the outcome of a claim will be. Though it is not a pleasant thing to think about, we all know it will happen. As the saying goes, “there are two things in life that are certain, death and taxes”.
According to the “2014 Insurance Barometer Study, Life Happens and LIMRA”, 85% of people believe we need life insurance, yet only have 62% have coverage. Because we don’t have to buy life insurance, we tend to put it on our list of things “to do”. You may tell yourself you don’t have the time to research life insurance, figuring out how much you need, completing an application. You are afraid if you called someone to ask for help they would keep calling you constantly.
