Life Insurance, Health and Fitness for the Family

Life Insurance

As we head into 2015 my guess is that many people and families will look to keeping themselves healthy or becoming healthier. You may notice that by reading the PivotCare team’s blogs that health plays a major role in term life insurance and the ability to purchase it. Many clients I speak with are also looking for ways to cover their children as well as themselves. This is a great idea! Especially if you are able to get your child started with a whole life insurance policy at a very young age.

Health and fitness is really about lifestyle. So what are some things a family can do to increase health and fitness? Walking is a great start. If you have any parks or recreational areas near you with walking trails these are ideal places to walk for exercise as a family. In a previous blog I mentioned the activity tracker I use to track how many steps in a day I take. Things like these are a fun way to track movement and families can compete with each other to see how many steps they can take in a day.

Do you like football? What about a family game of flag football? Get everyone involved, create some plays like they do in the pros and have fun! With flag football there is no tackling so you don’t have to worry about anyone getting seriously hurt.

How about bowling? Another great family fun way of getting exercise along the way. Its fun and you use a lot of different muscles while bowling. There is also ice skating which is a perfect activity for winter time. Check your local area as many places have outdoor rinks which are a lot of fun.

So as you head into the New Year don’t just think of health and fitness being only related to gyms and weights. There are many things you and your family can do together. Make up a list of activities like the ones that I mentioned earlier in this blog and also come up with your own fun ideas.
