Insure Your Love with Life Insurance
Term Life Insurance as a gift? When it comes to term life insurance much of the focus ends up on the obvious which is losing a loved one. I think it also helps to think about life insurance in different ways. Especially during the month of February and Valentine’s Day. Yes the money from a term life insurance policy is going to replace income and help provide for family members. But what life insurance really is doing is showing your loved ones how much you care.
Think of all the things you do for your family. Are you the sole income earner? If you answer yes to this question then ask yourself what happens if I suddenly pass away? Do you have a term life insurance policy of your own? In my opinion don’t just rely on coverage through an employer. Your employment situation can change and you don’t want to leave yourself uncovered if you are in between jobs. Also, find out how much your work insurance covers you for and ask yourself is that really enough for my family?
In my opinion purchasing a term life insurance policy or any type of life insurance means you are purchasing a gift. Don’t look at it as just a policy, formality or an expense. Think differently! Be grateful for 1. Being approved for term life insurance. 2. Having the income or resources to pay for it and 3. The piece of mind knowing your loved ones have the resources to continue their life as they know it today in the event you suddenly pass away. You need to be proud of your term life insurance policy and let your loved ones know how much you care for and love them.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner what is your plan to show your loved ones how much you love them? I realize that there will be dinners, flowers, candy and cards but before you know it the month will be over and everything goes back to normal. Having a term life insurance policy in place will give you a much needed reminder of how important your loved ones are to you. So look at term life insurance as a gift not a cost.
As you make your plans for the month of February and Valentine’s Day don’t forget to include term life insurance. How do you go about setting up the gift of life insurance for your loved ones?
