Protecting My Family with Life Insurance

raising a family

One of my own personal experiences with life insurance is directly related to protecting my family’s future. I have been married to a wonderful man for almost 40 years now. It is amazing how time flies by! I have two wonderful daughters. Both of my daughters are married and have two children each. We all live in a small town within 3 miles or from each other. My two daughters and their husbands own a duplex and live next door to each other.

I think becoming a parent was a wonderful experience. I enjoy being a mom but I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy being a grandmother. When you hear the saying, “If I had known being a grandparent would be so amazing, I would have done that first.” This is so true. My four grandchildren are so awesome. I love being a grandmother.

My oldest grandson, who is now 15 ½ and taking driver’s training as we speak (can’t believe that he is old enough), started calling me Mamma at age 2 as he couldn’t say grandma. And now all 4 of my grandchildren call me Mamma. I love it.

About 12 years ago, I started selling life insurance and decided that I wanted to help protect the financial future's of my grandchildren and their parents. I bought each of my grandchildren a $25,000 whole life insurance policy. I pay the premiums for them so their parents don’t have to. This way, they each have a policy and the price will be locked in for the rest of their lives. When they are older, I will turn the policies over to them. The younger they are the lower the price is. I’ve learned in life that a little bit of planning goes a long way.
