If you find your own mood is ruined after talking to people who are chronically negative, it's a good idea to cut these people from your life. 2. Choose to be grateful 
Being grateful every day will remind you of how lucky you really are. It's easy to focus on the things that you don't have and the things you want, but it's important to remember what you do have. Creating memories and challenging yourself will make you more happy than filling a shopping cart.

Loving yourself is important to being happy in life. Don't talk negatively about yourself. Don't scold yourself for not being perfect. Loving others is also effective in making you a happier person. Be kind whenever you can. Instead of allowing someone else's bad mood ruin yours try to lift them up with a smile and a caring word. Practice random acts of kindness throughout your day.
